Al-Sadd Club is a hallmark in the memory of Qatar' sports and one of the biggest clubs that created a niche in Qatar, Arab and international sports glories. The club throughout its eventual history, posted Nemours achievements and set as a good example for sports in Qatar.

In a nutshell,  Al-Sadd is a great sports edifice to be reckoned with. Through the years, many prominent figures has led the club. All and all, no one can ever forget the valuable efforts made by HH Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Heir Apparent, who has a white mark on the Qatari sports. Al-Sadd has the honor to be chaired by HH the Heir apparent. 
 
Many other names were held the same post, notably HE Shaikh Ahmad bin Jasim, HE Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Ali,  HE Abdullahbin Hamad Al-Attia, who is currently the deputy prime minister, minister of petroleum and energy,  Nasser bin Mubarak Al-Ali, HE Shaikh Jasim bin Hamad bin Jabr Al-Thani and finally, HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the club chairman at the moment.
 
In Al-Sadd club, we will leave no stone unturned to further add value to Qatar's sports. The club will also continue to play its leading role in serving Qatar's sports progress as one of the biggest clubs in the country.

Al-Sadd Club was found in 21-10-1969

 

The flag of the club is represented by the white and black colour.

No one would imagine that Al-Sadd Club, which had started with very simple resources, would become one of the best teams in Asia. That would not happen without the blessing of God and the support of his Highness Prince of Qatar and the deputy of the prince. 
The club rely on his fans and the huge efforts from the club's board of directors
to reaches the club's goals.  
The story behind establishing the Club:
A group of students were playing football and they were so good at it. They were offered to play for some of the clubs at that time, but they refused. That when they decided to talk to Shaik/ Qassem bin Hamad Al-Thani (The Minster of Youth and Sport) at that time in order to establish Al-Sadd Club. He agreed to their demand and The club was established.

The slogan of the club was white and then some digits were introduced to the slogan in black. that is when the slogan developed to be in white and blacks it appeared now.
