A cultural forum titled ""volunteer work in Qatar""

Today the cultural committee of Al-Sadd Club held its regular forum at the great hall of the club. The forum was forum titled ""volunteer work in Qatar"".
Mr. Adel Al-Keldi, one of the volunteers at Qatar Volunteer Center explained the advantages and benefits of volunteer work for man generally and youth especially

Mr. Eid Al-Merikhi, board member and President of the Cultural Committee at Al-Sadd Club, Mr. Salem  Al-Qahtani, vice President, and many of the cultural committee's members of the club.

At the beginning, Mr. Al-Keldi talked about the role of sports clubs in developing volunteering awareness between young people and said""
Al-Sadd Club is a pioneer in the volunteering field, so, I take this opportunity and thank all the people who are in charge of the cultural activity at the club.

About the importance of volunteer work Mr. Al-Keldi confirmed that volunteer work is one of the principles that must be developed and inoculated in our children in their early ages, he added that volunteer work must be generated by the volunteer himself and not by pressure

Mr. Al-Keldi added that there were courses prepared for young people who want to join the volunteer work. Purpose of theses courses is to train young people on taking the responsibility. He also said that there was Qatar Volunteer Center which contributes in attracting volunteers due to its qualified, experienced and professional personnel

Mr. Al-Keldi said that there is a new system used in Qatar Volunteer Center, which is called Al-Fazaa, which means (help). This system measures the speed of the response by the volunteer team

On the conditions that apply to the volunteer, who wants to join Qatar Volunteer Center Mr. Al-Keldi said: the first thing is that the volunteer must likes the volunteer work and should have the desire to do this, he also must be honest in his work, because he is mainly providing services to the community and the country
 
Mr. Al-Keldi added that there is a day for volunteering in Qatar, which is the 10th of April every year. In this day the distinguished volunteers get honored. Qatar is a pioneer in the social, volunteer and sport work, an evident for this is the number of volunteers, which was 30, 000 (thirty thousands) in the Asian Games. In addition, Qatar was selected as the residence of the Volunteering Arab Association

Mr. Al-Keldi indicated that Qatar Volunteering Center accepts all nationalities of volunteers and provides all required services to them such as computer and secretaries courses to qualify them

At the end of the forum Mr. Salem Al-Qahtani, vice President of the committee thanked Mr. Al-Keldi for attendance and also thanked all the members of the cultural activity at Al-Sadd Club
